đŋ Garden Wildlife Week đŋ
With sunshine this Bank Holiday, there’s no better time to enjoy the wildlife on our doorsteps âī¸
Today we’re spotlighting Paul, one of our brilliant recruiters who balances his three-day a week Membership Recruiter role with us with his passion for wildlife gardening đ
He recently installed this robin nest box in a customer’s garden—creating a safe space for one of the UK’s best-loved birds đĻ
As Paul explains:
“I installed this for a customer hoping robins will use it. I’ve chosen a closed-front design instead of the usual open style...an open box would almost certainly lose eggs or chicks.”
Thoughtful actions like this can make a real difference, especially as natural nesting spots become harder to find đą

đ World Bee Day đ
Bees might be small, but their impact is huge. From pollinating wildflowers to supporting the food we depend on, these tiny insects help keep our ecosystems thriving.đŧ
But UK bee populations are under pressure — habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change are all taking their toll.
That’s why protecting nature matters more than ever. By supporting conservation, we can help ensure bees — and the countless species that depend on them — continue to flourish.
đ Want to make a difference? Our recruiters are out across the UK working to raise support for wildlife every day.

đŋ Out and About with Our Recruiters đŋ
A great moment captured recently in Stratford-upon-Avon, where our Membership Recruiter Joey is engaging with a member of the public about supporting their local Wildlife Trust. đĻ
These conversations are at the heart of what we do—connecting people with nature, sharing why wildlife matters, and inspiring real action to protect it. đŧ
No two days are ever the same, but every conversation helps make a difference.

đĒģ Species Spotlight: Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non scripta)
Nothing says Spring like a woodland carpet of Bluebells, glowing violet beneath fresh green leaves. The UK holds around half of the world’s population, making these blooms a truly special part of our natural heritage.
Bluebells support early pollinators and thrive in ancient woodlands — a sign of long established, undisturbed habitats. Their sweet scent and striking colour make them one of spring’s most loved seasonal highlights.

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone- Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday đ
For generations, he has inspired millions to love, understand, and protect the natural world. His voice has sparked curiosity, compassion, and action—and we see that impact every day in the people we speak to.
Across the UK, our team of Membership Recruiters continue that mission- connecting people with their local Wildlife Trust and helping them stand up for nature.
To celebrate, our recruiters got involved in a brilliant way- snapping selfies with their Sir David posters out in the field đ¸
From heartfelt moments to a few fun surprises… keep an eye out for:
đ a hidden recruiter popping up behind a poster
đ¤ a cheeky “spot the AI-generated image” challenge
đ and one very enthusiastic tribute that shows just how much Sir David means to us all
Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David- and thank you for everything you’ve done for our planet đđ

An early birthday celebration for Sir David Attenborough in the office today đ
Our team marked the occasion (a day early!) with a bring & share lunch (and a Colin the Caterpillar cake, of course đ), taking a moment to reflect on the incredible impact he’s had on conservation.
His work continues to inspire us- and the conversations we have every day- to protect nature đđ

đĻâŦ Species Spotlight: Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus)
The unmistakable call of the Cuckoo is one of the clearest signs that mid spring has arrived. These long distance migrants travel thousands of miles from Africa each year to breed in the UK — a remarkable journey for such a secretive bird.
Known for their unique breeding strategy, cuckoos lay their eggs in the nests of other birds, relying on species like Dunnocks, Meadow Pipits, and Reed Warblers to raise their young.
