Life as a Membership Recruiter

#LifeAtWildlifeFundraisingCentral

Sean, Membership Recruiter

"The best part of the role is meeting people and having really great conversations, and that conversation may have inspired them to take action for nature”.

What Does a Membership Recruiter Do?

Our Membership Recruiters are the face of the Wildlife Trusts, meeting people at events, shopping centres, garden centres, country shows and other public venues.

Every conversation helps inspire more people to support wildlife conservation through membership.

No two days are the same. One day you could be speaking with visitors at a county show, and the next you could be at a busy garden center sharing stories about local conservation projects.

Meet our brilliant Membership Recruiter Doug - starting his day the same way many of us do… making lunch in the kitchen before heading out the door.

But Doug’s day doesn’t end behind a desk.

He’s out in the field, meeting people, sharing stories, and inspiring others to support the protection of UK wildlife.

From early starts to meaningful conversations, every moment plays a part in helping nature thrive. 🦋

Being a Membership Recruiter isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to make a real difference, every single day.

Be a voice for UK wildlife.

"It's kind of like a personal development role where you also get to make a big difference in the world."

That's what one of our Membership Recruiters loves most about fundraising.

Raising money for incredible causes is a huge part of the role, but so is the opportunity to grow. From communication and negotiation to collaboration, teamwork and resilience, every day brings the chance to develop valuable skills while helping to protect the natural world.
